LENNOX

Some of the work performed at Springboard revolves around specific tasks in the design process. In the case of Lennox, they were looking to quantify and predict life expectancy on some of the motors for their products. Specifically they were looking for help to develop a test plan that reflected the motors’ unique life requirements and then implementation of that plan. Using environmental chambers and PC controls, the motors were run through a given operating profile while subjecting the motors to various environmental conditions. Other motors were run on benches to simulate other load effects.
 

Springboard created the test plan, made custom controls and racks for the motors, ran the test and evaluated results.
