Careers at Springboard EngineeringPosition #1 Springboard Engineering seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components and/or systems for different customers within various industries. In this position, the candidate will be: -Responsible for developing high quality specifications from customer desires. -Creating and evaluating design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance. -Communicating and documenting designs that satisfy requirements and specifications. -Responsible for all aspects of project management. -Collaborating with other functional engineers, designers and technicians as needed. Education Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Professional Engineer license desirable. Required Skills and Experience Must have 3-5 years of professional mechanical design engineering experience Must have excellent skills reading, creating and understanding engineering drawings and specifications Pro/E proficient to model concept designs Must be able to conceptualize, develop and document engineering proposals into customer solutions Must be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction and work to a schedule. Must have excellent communication skills to interface effectively with customers, fellow engineers and CAD designers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications Desired Skills and Experience Six sigma design tools including FMEA, statistical tolerancing, design of experiments, etc. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing PMBOK project management tools and software including Microsoft Project Working understanding of lean manufacturing principles Product development gate process experience Position #2 Springboard Engineering seeks a Mechanical Designer to develop concepts into CAD 3D models and drawings. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for: -Creating high quality Pro/Engineer models, drawings and specifications from engineering concepts. -Communicating and documenting design improvement recommendations -Collaborating in a team environment with other designers, engineers, and technicians. Education High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree in CAD drafting or industrial technology preferred. Required Skills and Experience Must have 3-5 years of professional CAD design experience Must have 1 year minimum experience in Pro/E advance surface design Must be proficient in ASME Y14.5M-1994 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Must be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction and work to a schedule. Must have excellent communication skills to interface with customers, engineers, technicians and designers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications Desired Skills and Experience Working understanding of sheet metal fabrication and plastic injection molding techniques Working understanding of lean manufacturing principles |
